College of Politics and Governance has policies on supporting academic freedom. Lecturers at COPAG can freely choose their areas of research. COPAG provides 12,000 baht for each lecturer to conduct his/her activity in classroom.

COPAG also supports academic activities such as forums on various topics. These activities are organized by 3 centers of COPAG. Students, staff, and public can participate.

There are funds to support research for both academic and administrative staff. For documentary research, each lecturer of COPAG can get his/her funding with maximum of 50,000 baht per one research per one fiscal year. For field research, each lecturer of COPAG can get his/her funding with maximum of 100,000 baht per one research per one fiscal year.

Integrated research projects with academic service or cultural heritage and local wisdom with cooperation of external bodies provides funding for COPAG lecturers with the maximum of 150,000 baht per person per research per fiscal year.

ASEAN and Local Politics Research Center aims to give funding for COPAG lecturers with the maximum of 100,000 baht per fiscal year.

Researches for administrative staff on topics related with matters within the faculty get funding with maximum of 30,000 baht/person/research/fiscal year. 7 funds are available each year.
There are also research funds for graduate students: maximum of 30,000 baht/person/research/fiscal year for PhD students and maximum of 10,000 baht/person/research/fiscal year for Master’s degree students.
